First Edition Signed
First edition of this selection of Christmas songs from the world famous Trapp family singers. Oblong octavo, original pictorial half-cloth, illustrated throughout. Boldly signed on the front free endpaper by Baroness Maria Augusta von Trapp and her six children Maria Franziska, Agathe, Werner, Hedwig, Johannes, and Eleonore. Additionally signed by priest, conductor, and arranger Franz Wasner. Very good in a very good dust jacket. Selected and arranged by Franz Wasner. Illustrated by Agathe Trapp. Ownership name to the front panel of the dust jacket. The von Trapp Family Singers were a renowned vocal ensemble composed of the Austrian von Trapp family, whose story later inspired the musical The Sound of Music. Led musically by Maria von Trapp, the group emigrated to the United States in 1938 following the Nazi annexation of Austria and soon gained popularity for their performances of liturgical music, folk songs, and classical repertoire. The Trapp-Family Book of Christmas Songs, selected and arranged by Franz Wasner, offers a collection of traditional carols and sacred music that reflects the musical heritage and devotional spirit of the Trapp Family Singers. Compiled by the familyâs musical director, Father Wasner, the volume includes both European and American selections, with arrangements designed for vocal harmony in the style for which the group was internationally known.

Kein Einband. Condition: Gut bis sehr gut. Ohne Schutzumschlag. 1. Auflage. Wasner." --- Zustand: Brief im unteren Bereich etwas wasserfleckig. Signatur des Verfassers.
