Series of 21 "self-portraits in hiding" by Fred Escher. Artist book with full-page b/w photographs showing the artist in various scenarios, e.g. hiding behind a mailbox on a post, hiding between… coats in a coat-check, hiding under a writing table in an apartment, hiding behind a parked car in a city street, etc. The photographs are interspersed with full-page single capitol letters of the word HIDING starting with H on the title page. Each letter corresponds to shapes of objects in the photographs. Moderate foxing of the transparent endpapers. Minor age-toning in margins not affecting images. Wraps and interior in overall good to good+ condition.
