Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. This is a cautionary book by an Australian fire investigation officer that will come as a "shock and surprise to many". He tells the true stories of "incendiarism, arson, pyromania and sheer carelessness" that lead to the setting off of a fire alarm, and he explains the investigations that go on afterward to determine the cause and identify the fire-raisers. Illustrated with sections of black & white photographs. From what I can tell, there was never a U.S. edition of this U.K. book. Edges are slightly browned and there's a bookseller label on front pastedown, but a very good copy in a very good, slightly browned and edgeworn dust jacket, rubbed and a little faded on spine panel.
