First edition. American basketball coach Fredrick "Tex" Winter's (1922-2018) bible on the Triple-Post or Triangle offense, his own innovation, and that which he employed at Kansas State in the 50's and 60's to great success. This book was published on year before Michael Jordan was born, the GOAT of course going on to win 6 championships under Phil Jackson using Winter's system in the 90's. One of the most important basketball books, uncommonly found in the jacket, and even more so signed. 8vo, 228pp. Diagrams, illustrations, index. Lengthy, warm inscription from Winter to the former owner, seemingly a player, on the ffep. Red cloth, lettered and illustrated in black in illustrated jacket. Corner bumped else a nearly fine copy in the scarce jacket with spine faded, rubbing to edges, and moisture staining to bottom edge of rear panel.
