Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. This is the 1968 Exhibition Catalog for a show of the works of James McNeill Whistler mounted by The Art Institute of Chicago. The catalogue, which was edited by Frederick A. Sweet, includes paintings, pastels, watercolors, drawings, etchings and lithographs by Whistler, as well as a few ancillary works depicting Whistler by others. The show ran at The Art Institute of Chicago from from January 13, to February 25, 1968. It also ran at Munson - Williams - Proctor Institute in Utica, N. Y. from March 17 to April 28, 1968. There are at least 5 color plate illustrations and numerous black-and-white illustrations.
