Mid brown linen-like covers, spine wraps around to be 1/4 faux red leather, back cover is blank and quite clean, front cover has gold emblem encircled with Institutio Homeopathie American 1844 and Similia Similibus Curentur with the image of a man (head and shoulders) all in gilt, the spine has gilt lettering with the title, author and publisher. There is a small hole near the spine midway on the front cover, back cover is lightly soiled, front cover is moderately soiled, light shelf wear, back cover with a slight warp on upper corner, page edges are lightly soiled. end pages are foxed, all pages are printed on coated paper, 16 chapters, many black and white illustrations.
