Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book serves as a guide to practical hygiene, beginning with infancy and extending through adulthood. The author, an advocate for preventive measures, believed illness was largely avoidable by following a structured regimen. Their thoughts on the subject were remarkably ahead of their time, and early chapters stress preventive measures for both mothers and infants to promote healthy births and strong immune systems. The author believed that daily attention to personal hygiene and good habits in infancy and childhood could lay a strong foundation for future health. Later chapters offer guidance on nutrition, focusing on variety, portion control, and the benefits and drawbacks of common foodstuffs. They also provide advice on managing the effects of climate, exercise, and occupation on eating habits, with special attention paid to summer diets and the needs of laborers. While it can be challenging to implement every piece of advice in this book in today's fast-paced environment, the author's insights into diet, sanitation, and home life have stood the test of time and offer valuable guidance for anyone interested in improving their personal and family's overall wellness. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
