The note is paper-clipped to a four page typed synopsis of the unproduced film "The Last Jump," which is also mentioned in the note. Based on noted South Carolinian humorist William Price Fox's 1967 novel, following a pair of mischievous teenage boys trying to scrape together enough money to buy a car-encountering bootleggers, revivalist preachers, loan sharks, and other figureheads of southern life in the 20th century along the way. Set in Columbia, South Carolina. Blue titled wrappers, rubber-stamped copy No. 109, dated April 22, 1968, with credits for screenwriter Everett Freeman and novelist William Price Fox. From the archive of noted Hollywood still photographer Ray Jones. Born in Wisconsin on January 1, 1901, Jones worked for Paramount Pictures in the early 1930s, and went on to be the head of the still photography department at Universal Pictures in 1935, where he worked well into the 1950s. W.C. Fields is the owner of a shady circus constantly on the run from the law and creditors, and clearly not paying his performers who are intent on getting their due. 8 x 10 inches.
