Wenn man verwendbare Resultate erhalten will, sollte sie sorgfaltig ausgefiihrt und in ihrer Technik keineswegs willkiirlich modifiziert werden. Der Untersuchende halt sich am besten strikt an eine standardisierte Test technik, urn die Moglichkeiten und Grenzen der Methode genau ken nenzulernen. Die Interpretation der jeweils vorliegenden epicutanen Testreaktion erfordert besondere Erfahrungen und Kenntnisse. Der Testarzt muB die Chemie und Pharmakologie der angewandten Test substanzen kennen. Das vorliegende Taschenbuch beschaftigt sich nur mit der Methode der Epicutantestung, die verwendet wird, urn eine Kontaktallergie oder Photokontaktallergie zu beweisen. Die Allergiebereitschaft ir gendeines Patienten an sich kann mit ihr nicht vorausgesagt werden.
