Hardcover. Condition: Good. First American edition (no additional printings listed). Original brown and stamped gilt decorative cloth, 7x9 1/2 inches, 32 pp (single sided) , illustrated with black and white drawings. Hardcover, good. Corners bumped with a bit of cardboard exposed there, some soil on cloth, upper third of backstrip gone from spine, 1/4 inch chipping off foot. Internally, front hinge cracked, flipped through, a few stray smudges, otherwise tight, clean, relatively crisp and unmarked. Charming story about a baker's child who delivers a round loaf of bread shaped like, and the size of, a modern automobile tire, and plays with it accordingly en route to the unsuspecting customer's house. Children's; bakery; Victorian.
