Hardcover. First Edition. Octavo, two volumes. In Good condition. Quarter-bound in red leather, with marbled paper boards. Spines have gilt titling and ornamentation. Boards have cracking to spines and joints, chipping to edges, discoloration and age toning to edges. Volume 2 has a loss of leather to the spine head, the front board is partially detached from spine, and the top corner of the rear board is torn away. Textblocks have marbled end papers, age toning, and light wear throughout. Volume 1 has a tear to the front marbled end paper. Inscribed by J.-B.-F. Froment to "Docteur Ricord" (presumably Philippe Ricord 1800-1889) to the half-title page of volume 1. Shelved in Room F. 1409775. Special Collections.
