Printed in Beirut by the Middle East Export Press. 32pp with b/w and colour photos and drawings. Very good. The cover story is about Saudi Arabia's "Pink Gold", the new shrimping industry based in Eastern Province, with several photos of a trawling expedition. There is also a history of the Nairn Transport Company and the author's valuable account of the bus journey he made through the Syrian Desert to Baghdad. Other content includes the Trans-Arabian Pipeline (Tapline)'s terminal at Sidon; Saint Simeon and the Qalat Seman fortress in Syria; Ibn Khaldoun; and the alphabet. Photographers include Aramco's own Khalil Abou El-Nasr.
