Von 1951 bis zu seinem Tod im Jahre 2015 war sie mit Hermann Zapf verheiratet. Hermann Zapf (* 8. November 1918 in Nürnberg; 4. Juni 2015 in Darmstadt) war ein deutscher Typograf, der als Designer für Buch- und Schriftgrafik vor allem als Schriftdesigner und Kalligraf tätig war.
