The quarterly magazine was started in April of 1982 as a way to distributor the work of artists with the first issue distributed as loose sheets. Starting with this issue spiral bound volumes were released along with an annual box of books each summer. The magazine and organization finally ceased publication in 2003. Each page of this issue of the magazine represents a different artist with many contributions signed and numbered along with a collation stamp on the verso of each. Die schönen Kupfertafeln mit Ansichten von Amsterdam, Antwerpen, Augsburg, Berlin, Brüssel, Dresden, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Heidelberg, Ingolstadt, Koblenz, Köln, Mainz, München, Nürnberg, Prag, Regensburg, Straßburg, Trier, Ulm, Wien, Zürich usw. Am Schluss das separat gedruckte und paginierte ausführliche Ortsregister mit Angabe der Koordinaten, unter denen der gesuchte Ort auf der Karte zu finden ist. Das Buch ist als Begleittext zu Funcks großer, separat erschienener Karte des Heiligen Römischen Reichs (Meurer/Stopp I, 16) erschienen. Deshalb ist kein Exemplar bekannt, dem die auf dem Titel angegebene accurate Land-Charte" beigebunden ist. VD17 datiert auf ca 1685, bei unserem Exemplar reicht die Berichtszeit auf Seite 334 jedoch bis 1692. Meurer/Stopp datieren die erste Ausgabe auf 1690. Davon ist nur ein Exemplar bekannt und sie erwähnen erst ab der dritten Auflage (II.5C) Standorte in deutschen Bibliotheken. Der Titel ohne die erste Zeile "Des" wird auch bei Meurer/Stopp so zitiert und abgebildet und ist ein Kennzeichen dieser 2. Ausgabe. Eng beschnitten, aber noch in dem für das Barock üblichen Rahmen; selten sind die Kolumnen angeschnitten. Gleichmäßig gebräunt, selten Fleckchen.
