Born in 1922 in Anacortes, Washington where he lives today, Wally Funk was editor and co- publisher of the Anacortes American and the Whidbey News-Times. He was an accomplished photographer as the photos in this volume demonstrate. He had a distinguished career advocating for his hometowns. For his civic accomplishments, he has been honored by the Skagit Bar Association, Oak Harbor Navy League,Uuniversity of Washington Department of Communications, Skagit Valley College and the Anacortes Arts Festival, among others. This volume consists of Wally Funk's articles from the Anacortes American together with the accompanying photos. Just a treasure trove of written and visual information about Anacortes.
