The has a private library book pocket on back inside cover, some yellowed marks on cover spine, previous owners inscription and names on first end page, pages slightly browning due to aging, otherwise in good condition with tight binding, some nice illustrations and 128 pages. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.

It's a 6 1/4" by 8 1/4" hard cover book with 198 pages which include a Selected Bibliography, A Table of Contents, and black-and-white illustrations throughout. The book is in good + condition and has no dust jacket. "The chapters that follow have little mortar between them. Roosevelt in 1936. The dj is protected in an archival quality cover. Dj has a crease that runs down the length the length of the work at the front and the back. However, the work looks quite presentable in its archival quality cover. Available for immediate shipment, carefully packed in a sturdy box! Signed By the Author.

The cover refers to the article "Pan-Arab Pains: Concessions Made to Near East Christians, Jews by Moslem Overlords" (pp12-13). Opening with an evocative scene in Baghdad, it praises Hikmet Suleiman's government for promoting equality among Muslims and Jews, and a Pan-Arab policy based on peace and goodwill. It describes a short-lived period of optimism, with Egypt and Syria recently gaining independence, and treaties signed among Muslim countries including Turkey, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Afghanistan. In the context of Pan-Arabism and Pan-Islam, it briefly profiles Ataturk and the Ibn Saud, and reactions to Zionism. A map shows "Moslem Lands where Pan-Arab nationalism is rampant from India to the Atlantic". Also featured is a portrait of Imam Yahya of Yemen, whose emissary sought Iraq's friendship. The cover depicts two armed Bedouin aiming towards the camera, in front of their black tent, shielded by their horse.
