Gallison touches on the supposed barbarism of ancient Rome and Gre…ece, as well as chivalry and patriotism as causes of wars throughout history, although he seems to give the United States a pass in light of the American Revolution. GOOD condition. Heavy browning, minor scattered foxing present. Inscription across the top of the title page. One small stray pencil note in text.
