The first volume of a four-volume series. Antiqua typeface; the title page features a woodcut device, pages are decorated with large woodcut initials. Provenance: The copy contains two bookplates, ownership stamp and call numbers of the Capuchin Monastery in Hradcany (Prague); a coloured backstrip with handwritten call number is also typical for its library. The front endpaper has a simple recent bookplate of Petr Vopenka (1935-2015), a Czech mathematician and philosopher. A complete, well-preserved copy. /// Parchment binding with metal clasps (coloured backstrip with handwritten call number); hardback, 386+[6] pp., 12° (9.5 x 15 cm), parchment slightly worn and yellowed, edges yellowed, top edge darkened, endpapers foxed and yellowed, some pages slightly foxed or yellowed, other signs of wear and age are very rare (small faded water stain), condition: very good Book Language/s: Latin.
