London: The Bodley Head, 1959. 8vo., A fine copy in a very good or better dustwrapper with 1 small chip at the spine crown. While Gash denies having anything to do with this book, the consensus is that it is indeed his work & as such precedes his Lovejoy novels by several years. Very uncommon.
