He is known for his relaxed an unconventional portraits of artists and other famous people, Nelson Mandela, Andy Warhol and Jimi Hendrix among others. During his lifetime he has been doing commercial assignments, documentary projects, still life photography and his own personal projects. The present series of photographs was commissioned by Cir, 1995

Text pĺ svenska, engelska och franska. Dedikationen ställd till konstkritikern, författaren, journalisten och översättaren Olle Bergqvist. - - - Hans Gedda hör till Sveriges mest betydande fotografer. Han har framförallt utfört en mängd porträtt och fick sitt genombrott 1967 med bilder av Sara Lidman och Tove Jansson. Andra som förevigats är Angela Davis, Andy Warhol, Nelson Mandela och välkända svenskar som Olof Palme, Birgit Nilsson och Jonas Gardell. Gedda har även hela tiden verkat som kommersiell fotograf, som i denna bok med cirkusbilder som beställts av Cirkus Scott. Fotografierna är en blandning av porträtt och halvdokumentära reportagebilder och visades under Geddas utställning pĺ Nationalmuseum 2014 i en särskild avdelning ("bland det mest spännande som Gedda gjort").

Condition: New. Description: 6"x 6" limited edition Fuji Crystal Archival Matte paper print. Image size is 5.5" on the longest side and the paper size is 6" x 6". The Print is SIGNED by Hans Gedda on the verso. Condition: Brand New/Mint. The prints were issued in an un-numbered Limited Edition (limited to the number of prints purchased during the days in which the sale was open to the public). They were then carefully printed to the highest standards and signed by the photographers. As such, these are sure to become highly collectible photographs given the provenance linking them directly to the Magnum collective and each of the photographers who chose to participate in the event.
