This book is "Mark Twain on the Damned Human Race" ; it is a collection of topical essays by the great American writer, Samuel Clemens, that was edited by Janet Smith. This Special Edition has a Preface by Maxwell Geisner. Published by Hill and Wang in 1994, the book was issued through a book club (no price on jacket). Gilt lettering is bright. BINDING : Solid - tight INTERIOR : On the front end-papers are a couple of minute dents, derived from a production related effect under the front paste-down - else the interior is bright, clean and unmarked. DUST - JACKET : Moderate surface rub, else clean and attractive - (could even be called crisp) All in all an exceptional specimen.
