General Alexander Petrovich Bogaevsky (1872-1934) was one of the key commanders of the Volunteer Army during the Russian Civil War. His Memoirs of 1918 - "The Ice March" recount firsthand the grueling retreat of General Kornilov's forces through the Kuban steppe one of the defining episodes of the early White Army campaign. This edition was published decades after Bogaevsky's death by surviving veterans of the movement, preserving one of the most detailed eyewitness records of the First Kuban Campaign and early White Army history. Printed in small numbers for the Russian émigré community in America, this volume is now considered a primary h' rical source and collectible monument militarv heritage.
