Almost a disbound copy, sewn textblock is still bound together, backstrip missing, both boards still attached by sewing but very loose; 4 plates present, coloured folding map in rear in very good condition apart from some foxing; boards are worn, rubbed and grubby with some foxing. No wrapper.

Marbkled boards, the rear one with 6 cm x 3 cm surface loss; four front corners tipped in leather; leather spine, lettered and lined in gilt with impressed decoration, has a 6 cm split on one side at top. Internally endpapers grubby with contemporaneous name and date on ffep. Pp, 1 (soiled) title page, i-cx, map. All pages wrinkled with faint water mark, not affecting legibility. Folding map at rear in good order apart from damp spots. Size: 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.

Original work by the Prussian General von Muffling, (Blucher's liaison officer with Wellington at Waterloo) dealing with Napoleon's 1813 Campaign. Battles described include Gros Gorschen, Bautzen, and Haynau. 62pp., three excellent folding, coloured maps. German text. Bound in attractive quarter leather with the amorial bookplate of Henry Edward Bunbury. Excellent condition, rare contemporary, original work by this important Prussian General and historian. 0.0.
