Slight shelf-wear including rubbing at the corners and wear along the edges. Some minor scuffs and scratches. Ex-library copy with library code written on spine, with library stamp on title page, on half-title, and below portrait frontispiece. Otherwise in very good condition. Pages themselves are clean and unmarked with light foxing. Fold-out map on p.154 has a noticeable tear running through half of the map, and the map at the end of the book has very minor creasing in the corners, and a much smaller tear in the corner, slightly effecting the edge of the map design itself. Illustrated with various b/w engravings and maps.
