Leather bound. Condition: Near fine. First edition of The Lake of Geneva by Francis Gribble, complete with 60 illustrations painted by J. and May Hardwicke Lewis. (illustrator). First Edition. Octavo, x, [2], 360pp. One fold-out map at rear. Three-quarter green morocco, green cloth covered boards. Five raised bands, title in gilt on spine. Decorated with gilt trim, top edge gilt, marbled endpapers. Finely bound by A.C. Vroman of Pasadena, California, with bindery imprint on verso of front free endpaper. Solid text block, touch of wear to corners, a near fine example. Complete with 60 full-page colored plates of paintings by J. Hardwicke Lewis and May Hardwicke Lewis. A beautiful volume.

Condition: Good. Later Edition. Small book written in French. Binding attached but worn and loose on the bottom front. Gilding on spine worn from being used, especially in section associtated with the New Testament.
