100x88 cm. unfolded. Folding map dissected and backed with linen in a mildly worn blue cloth folder. Small holes in linen backing along folds, map surface is very good to excellent. This map, published by J. L. Smith of Philadelphia, has credits at the bottom for both the United States Coast and Geological Survey and the New Jersey Geological Survey. The map, with extensive geological markings, is similar in appearance to the maps of those surveys. Shows from Gloucester County, NJ to Frederick, PA in the northwest. Most of the map encompasses southeastern Pennsylvania with a part of southern New Jersey and a part of the Town of Brandywine in Delaware. Taken from maps first published in 1894.
