    Volume: 1 (2 tomi) 15 x 9 cm., pagg.(4) 192 (4) 248 + 32 tavole più volte ripiegate, taglio superiore refilato troppo, legatura in mezza pergamena, in italiano: in antiporta tavola allegorica con Minerva che insegna all'A. Le tavole, incise all'acquaforte raffigurano regole geometriche ambientate all'interno di graziose cornici con scene di vita quotidiana o edifici. Le tavole del secondo tomo, sempre acuaforti, rappresentano solo figura geometriche oppure persone impegnate in esperimentii entro paesaggi, strumenti ecc. Le Clerc (Leclerc) 1637-1714, disegnatore, incisore, ingegnere e geografo, realizzò un gran numero di incisioni e si occupò anche di cartografia militare, professore di prospettiva all'Accademia d'arte di Parigi. La prima edizione di questa opera porta la data del 1669, la prima edizione italiana il 1746.
