0. Bruxelles, Musée du Livre, 1918 , in-4°, 28,5 x 21,5 cm, pp (8?? - 967) + (15 of 21 ) plates. with 3 of 4 separate issues, Leaves bound together with a silk tie, no wrapper ( as issued). In an original portfolio ( a bit worn and discoloured , spine damaged). The plates contrary to the previous years do not have a serpente nor… a printed caption with number. For the year 1918 these numbers are 420 - > 440 ( missing are the plates 420 , 421 , 428 , 433 , 434, 439 ). The first text issue is also missing , index leaf included . The prestigeous Brussels' periodical '' Musée du Livre'' was devoted to the art of the book. It covers the whole subject : typography, lettering , binding, illustration. Its pre-war publications (before 1914) are rightly famous for the beautiful typographical execution. The project , animated by Henri Liebrecht, could rely on the aid of the main Brussels printing houses, paper and ink suppliers. ( e.g. Imprimerie Goossens, établ. Malvaux .). They published 4 issues per year ( fascicules ), accompanied by plates . The year 1918 contains a special issue on Emile Verhaeren ( who died the previous year) . This is illustrated with a suite of 18 lithographs, unfortunately 2 are missing and 2 are browned.
