Dust jacket somewhat soiled and rubbed along the spine and the edges of the turn-ins. Per the dust jacket, this book contains descriptions and color images of 101 of the most popular garden flowers. Will. H. Stevens (1881 - 1949) was an American modernist painter and naturalist who is known for his paintings and tonal pastels, which are held in several major American art museums. Just a beautifully illustrated book to identify common flowers. "With the help of Will. Stephens' beautiful drawings you should have no difficulty in recognizing the flowers as shown in this book. You'll learn that many of them have come to us from nearly all parts of the world and that is one reason why they do not all possess a common name, so easy to remember, like most of our wildflowers. With this book you can walk around the garden and, at the same time, almost travel the world and imagination." [from the Introduction].
