Condition: Very Good. 100 page black photo album of candid photos, initially of schoolmates, mostly girls, who attended St. Patrick's School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, beginning with Class of 1919, 1920 on through 1924; Photos include friends and relatives of Marie Catherine Getz Maher up to the 1960's. Photos of Camp Claiborn, Louisiana and Jefferson Barracks on May 14, 1941 and in summer of 1941 show the base prior to Pearl Harbor, particularly with Lt. John D. Getz, a member of the 136 Medical Regiment, which was deployed in Jan 26, 1941 to Northern Ireland. Getz was In service since May 7, 1940. Lt. Getz was stationed at Camp Clairborne, LA, prior to going overseas with the first expeditionary force. He landed in Ireland in1941, and later was transferred to England where he was stationed at a base hospital in northern Ireland after Jan 1942 ; also includes photos of Cathedral of St. Paul, Aug 15th 1931, The Little Brown Church in the Dale, Built 1860, a 1941 Ford, Auto repair shop of Jos. B. Morgavi, a photo of a US Army Air Corps Bell YFM-1, "Latest type of twin engine fighter", Town Hill Hotel, Wedding trip in 1930, photos and articles of Gladyce Getz Shaffer, wife of Van Vechten Shaffer, 1st woman to serve as a director of a Cedar Rapids bank, Woman of the Year 1969, member of St. Matthew's church.
