The science of City Planning was developed at a time, not comparable to the dimensions of traffic in our days. If City Planning would have met the requirements of today's metropolis it would not have been counterproductive with regards to human relations. The chapters of this study are Subways, Train Stations and High Rises in Relation to Subways, Elevated Railways, Waterworks in Relation to Water gates, Shipbuilding, and two extensive chapters on Buildings for Cars and Buildings for Air Traffic. Profusely illustrated with b/w photographs, architectural drawings, measured drawings and floor plans throughout. Contains completed projects and architectural renderings with list of images at front. All projects included with architectural credits, e.g. Hans Poelzig, Stefan Balla, E. W. Ebersold, Alfred Gellhorn, Albert Kahn, Mies van der Rohe, and many others. Text in German. Front cover and spine with "Flughafen" added in blue marker to printed title. Previous owner's stamp on front free endpaper. Binding with light wear and rubbing, small discoloration at top foredge corner of front cover.
