"La Grant Coronica delos Conquiridores", una de las compilaciones aragonesas hechas en el ultimo tercio del siglo XIV por mandado del gran Maestre de la orden del Hospital, Johan Ferrandez de Heredia, acaba por una traduccion, o mejor dicho, un arregio del texto catalan de la célebre cronica de don Jaime el Conquistador. El texto que publica ahora por primera vez la Sociedad de Bibliofilos Madrilenos esta copiado del manuscrito, contemporaneo de la redaccion, que se conserva en la Bibliotheca Nacional de Madrid. Hemos procurado reproducir el referido codice con la mayor exactitud, limandonos a extender las abreviaturas é intercalar entre corchetes, en reducidisimo numeros de casos, unas pocas letras cuya falta se debe a descuidos induscutibles del copista.
