He also volunteered as a hospital orderly, writing For Dauntless France about his wartime experiences. He authored many books on art throughout his life and Manmohan Ghose (18691924) was an Indian poet, one of the first to write in English. Educated in both England and India, he was part of a literary circle including Laurence Binyon. His work appeared in Primavera: Poems by Four Authors (1890). After returning to India, Ghose held teaching positions. His posthumous collection, Songs of Love and Death, reflects a blend of Indian themes and English literary tradition.
