Revised edition. 836pp, (6x9 inches), tables, charts, bibliography, index. Fair/ No DJ. Hardcover, green cloth covers worn and soiled with small hole in spine (half inch). Page edges have some water staining, a few pages creased, and a few with pencil underlining or margin notes. Not very attractive, but binding tight and still quite useable. Historical institutions and historical methods of dealing with dependents, special classes of dependents (aged, insane, epileptics, children, sick, disabled, unemployed, etc), preventive agencies and methods. Please note, this discussion is based on the situation in the 1920's.
