Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. First Edition, !st Printing. Number line in the work reads as follows: 96 95 94 93 92 5 4 3 2 1. The Rough Road Home is a representative collection of spirited stories by North Carolina writers. All of the authors have lived in North Carolina and most have grown up in the state. The dramatic introduction of these themes-home and road-occurs in one of two ways: either by a journey awary from home or a visitor arriving there. Each of the twenty-two stores gathered in this volume in some way, usually quite directly, involves an outsider or a voyage. Volume itself has red cloth covers with sharp white lettering on the spine. 332 pages, book is clean, fresh, tight and bright. Just the slightest trace of wear at the base of the spine, probably from sitting on a book shelf. Dust jacket is protected in an archival quality Brodart cover. A quite nice copy; available for immediate shipment carefully packed in a sturdy box.
