Holandesa del XIX. Esta es la edición francesa del famoso manual de dibujo de Piazzetta "Studii di Pintura, giá disegnati da Giambattista Piazzeta, ed ora con l'intaglio di Marco Pitteri, publicati a spese di Giambattista Albrizzi." (Apresso Teodoro Viero), 1760. La primera edición contenía 48 planchas de un tamaño de 30 x 44 cm. de 24 temas (24 de las cuales eran de Bartolozzi.y 24 de Marco Pitteri.) Esta obra ha estado y aún hoy está considerada como una de las más atractivas.Pertenece al gran periodo de libros ilustrados venecianos. El único grabado que nos queda de Piazetta es su autorretrato, que data de 1738. La primera edición fue pronto seguida de la edición francesa de 1764. La obra que nosotros ofrecemos está falta de la portada francesa original, pero contiene frontispicio grabado: "Naturam Refern Patet ars sed Utrinque Magistra, appreso Theodoro viero Venezia", firmado por Marco Pitteri. Contiene un pequeño autorretrato grabado por Piazetta e impreso como fin de página con figuras alegóricas grabadas alrededor, sobre las artes de la pintura, escultura y dibujo. Hay dos series de 24 grabados en cada serie, numeradas en romanos consecutivamente, grabados y firmados por Bartolozzi (números impares) y Pitteri (números pares), respectivamente. Cada uno de los 24 grabados, parecen ser de dos tipos de medidas: 220 x 310 mm. (aprox.) el tamaño del grabado y 290 x 430 mm. el tamaño de papel.
