Eineccio, na presente obra, expõe os elementos de senso comum na troca mercantil, que constitui a parte principal do comércio por terra: mas como foram escritos antes de o estudo do direito comercial ser geralmente recomendado, a sua obra permaneceu um pouco negligenciada. Johann Gottlieb Heineccius, latinizado do alemão Heinecke e italianizado como Giovanni Teofilo (ou Giovanni Amedeo) Eineccio (11 de setembro de 1681 - 31 de agosto de 1741), foi um jurista alemão. Nascido em Eisenberg, na Turíngia, em 1681, era o irmão mais novo do teólogo Johann Michael Heineccius. Ensinou filosofia e direito nas universidades de Halle (1713), Franeker (1723), Frankfurt (1727) e novamente em Halle (1730), onde morreu em 1741. A sua principal obra é o Operum ad universam iuris prudentiam, publicado postumamente em Genebra, em 1744. O tratado é composto por oito volumes e reúne numerosos temas de direito. Editou também o Scriptorum de iure nautico et marítimo, uma coletânea de pesquisas sobre direito comercial e marítimo, impressa em Halle em 1740. Um exemplar desta edição está conservado na Fundação Mansutti, em Milão.
