Bis heute sind über 60 Dokumentar- und Spielfilme entstanden. Der wohl berühmteste ('Rabin, The last day') handelt vom Mord am israelischen Ministerpräsidenten. Seit langem ist und bleibt es Israel, das den fulminanten Erzähler Gitai interessiert, fasziniert und manchmal irritiert.'Peace through art' ist sein künstlerisches Movens und 'Der andere muss leben' sein Credo, welches - obwohl scheinbar so einleuchtend - doch von allzu vielen in Frage gestellt wird. 112 pp. Englisch, Deutsch.
