"Compiled for the use of all good Mudhookers and their guests at club dinners and on other festive occasions by Glentanar, with the assistance of two kind friends, Ian Whyte who arranged the traditional airs; and Patrick Beynon, who executed the designs." . In cream cloth light boards with an inset oblong in the centre of the front board with a pasted on coloured image of the Mudhook Yacht Club's Flag. Over time the cream cloth has got dusty and somewhat discoloured to the front board - the rear has a few marks but otherwise is generally cleaner. Overall Very Good, clean, tight covers. Internally plain endpapers with No Inscriptions or marks. (2) + 27 pages + blanks, consisting of 13 double page 'Shanties' with Music and lyrics on the left hand side, and a b/w illustration and the words alone on the right hand side. The first piece of music, however, is 'THE MUDHOOK ANTHEM'. A linked chain border design around the Title page, followed by a half-title with a tiny vignette illustration of a yacht sailing. There is no note of a printer or any limitation, but as it was "Printed for Private Circulation", and I have been unable to find any other copy for sale, this must have been a pretty small print run. The Mudhook Yacht Club was founded in 1873 and is still going to this day. Clyde Yacht Racing interest. Very Scarce. See Images. ; Slim 4to 11" - 13" tall.
