Some light spotting to text-block, otherwise contents in good clean/bright order. Overall a 'Very Good' copy. An impressive work, for many years it was a standard title within its field of study. Fine Colonel Godfery's extraordinarily comprehensive monograph and i…conograph of the British Orchids has been the standard work for many years. However, since the advent of genetical inquiry, some of the science has now been reassessed. The book remains a fantastic achievement stunningly illustrated by Hilda M Godfery, the author's wife to whom the book is dedicated. Extremely difficult to find in the original dust jacket.
