Please see pictures. Copyright 1938. 391pp + 1pg ad. This book is purported to have come from Hermann Goring's library and is inscribed: "To/ Charlie/… Best of hosts/ from/ Gauli MacGoGowan/ WarCon. New York Sun/ dated Berlin 1945 (From Goring's private collection)". This copy was lifted from Hermann Goring's library by Alexander Gault MacGowan, a notable WW2 correspondent. In 1934 he began a 16 year career with The Sun of New York. He covered coronations of King & Queen, fought in WW1, covered the Spanish Civil War and traveled with the French foreign Legion in Morocco. He was captured by the Germans but escaped by leaping from a prisoner of war train in the middle of the night. He presents this book to "Charlie" for being a good host. Photograph Frontispiece (illustrator).
