Pamphlet. 44, 28p., wraps slightly soiled, illustrated with Goss' art work, 6x8.5 inches; cover bears the artist's likeness. Original binder's mucilage-type glue is giving way and the front hinge has cleanly separated leaving a curious (and "curiosa") glue-shadow in gutter; back hinge still holding. Poetry and prose. Goss was a radical artist was active in the WPA and the husband of Margaret Burroughs. Contents: Form of a woman (a speech symphony), Evangeline Zehmer; illustrations by B. Goss -- Peace, truth, beauty, selections honoring Bernard Goss, artist and a few poems by Margaret Burroghs. Memorial book for the artist and political activist - selections mention his work in the civil rights and the anti-war movement.
Condition: Very Good. Typescript. 4to. Circa 80 pages printed recto only. A typed note on the first page states 'Devised with students of the Rose Bruford Training College.' Many handwritten notes, excisions, revisions etc., by someone associated wit the pay (director or actor.) String bound folder with title on front on typed label. The play was published by French in 1979. No date, c.1960s. Slight wear, otherwise very good.
