xvi,199,16 pp. Octavo. Original green cloth. Gilt titling on spine. Rebacked at an early date laying down the original spine. Original coated yellow endpapers which have had the inner joints repaired. Edges untrimmed. Top edge somewhat dust soiled. Large folding map has minor spotting and a bit of soiling mainly along the edges. Text is clean and crisp. A very nice copy with only minor faults. Arctic Biblio. 6032, citing only the original Danish edition, 1832; NMM I-849 Sabin 28179. Graah made an extended trip up the southeast Greenland coast in Eskimo umiaks, reaching as far north as 65' in the summer of 1829. A second attempt to reach farther north was made the following year, but was unsuccessful. The large map was prepared for the Danish edition in 1832.
