Fidel Castros Gadget war eine Karibik-Insel. Erich Honeckers Angebot war, Fachleute zu entsenden zwecks Weiterentwicklung des sozialistisc…hen Bruderstaates. 1987 wird WW, bekennender Kommunist, in die Karibik abkommandiert. Er gilt als der Stratege der sehr erfolgreichen DDR-Leichtathleten, wird als Strippenzieher in Sachen Doping vermutet. Sein Spitzname: Die Apotheke. Weil WW ahnte, dass ihm die Anti-Doping-Experten auf den Fersen sind, stellte er seine entsprechende Tätigkeit ein. Sein Sinneswandel kostete ihn seine Führungsposition im DDR-Verband der Leichtathleten und die Abschiebung in die Verbannung, wie es WW bezeichnet. Im neuen Tätigkeitsfeld in Kuba ist WW unglücklich. Durch den Fall der DDR im Jahr 1989 verliert WW nicht nur seine Heimat, sondern seine Situation wird für ihn existenzbedrohend. Bis WW eine junge Speerwerferin entdeckt, mit der er sich nochmals als Trainer und gewiefter Manager erfolgreich verwirklichen kann.
