Green cloth with spine rules, titles and cover decoration in gilt; 12mo; 289 +8pp ads at rear; gray endsheets; illustrated with tissue-guarded engraved frontispiece, 6 full-page plates, 16 tail-piece vignettes plus text drawings. "The experiences of two ardent fishermen, who, for eight years, during the month of June, have camped on the banks of the beautiful and picturesque Lycoming Creek." Also incidents of angling for trout on the Loyalsock, Tioga, Kettle, Cross Forks, Young Woman, Pine and other creeks in central Pennsylvania. This copy in G to VG condition with mild cover wear and fraying of cloth around edges; crack visible to front pastedown but does not show on front cover, internally VG with all plates clean & bright. A decent copy of an uncommon Pennsylvania angling title. Phillips p284; Bruns U13, citing only the 2nd edition of 1883.
