Bill Granger (1941 - 2012) was a Chicago newspaper reporter and columnist who turned novelist specializing in political thrillers. His first thriller was The November Man. He wrote 16 novels in that series and won an Edgar for Public Murders (1981). SIGNED and in SUPERIOR CONDITION: Tight, bright, clean in a bright dj with slight edgewear. No previous owner or remainder marks.

First UK edition containing 14 of the 18 stories in the US edition which was published in 1951 under the title 'The Best Science Fiction Stories:1951' by Frederick Fell. Boards have very slight bumping to the corners. Page edges are lightly browned with some brown spotting to the top edges and a tiny dark mark to the bottom edges. Endpapers are browned but pages are otherwise clean and unmarked. Jacket has slight edge wear and discolouration to the rear panel. Jacket illustration by Eric Mudge-Marriott. First printing.
