Softcover book in near fine condition with very light shelf wear on the covers. The bottom corner of the front cover is lightly bumped. The spine is uncreased and the binding is tightly bound with two thick staples. Pages are clean, smooth and unmarked. Includes the four fold-out maps, drawings and photographs in black and white. The site is in northern - interior Maine and is the oldest dated prehistoric encampment in New England, covered today by the Aziscohos Lake. These artifacts are in a permanent exhibit at the Maine State Museum in Augusta, Maine. There is considered to be a connection between the present day Wabanaki and these pre-historic people.
