L.A.S., Rochefort, 15 juin 1790, 1p in-4. A Jean-Jacques Isle de Beauchaine (1747-ap.1792), officier de marine. Longue lettre à propos du désir du chevalier Isle de quitter son poste à Cherbourg et venir à Rochefort, en échangeant son poste avec celui d'un autre chevalier (nom illisible) alors à Rochefort. Vaudreuil a envoyé la demande et il faut qu'une autre demande parte de Brest. Il saura la réponse par M. de Fleurieu ou M. De Malezieu. Finalement, il n'ira pas à Rochefort et sera appelé en novembre à la place de Fleurieu à Paris (sous-inspecteur au dépôt général des cartes). Intéressant passage sur la période : « Les électeurs de cette province sont assemblés depuis deux jours à Saintes dans la Cathédrale, je souhaite qu'ils fassent un bon choix. Je ne vous entretiendrai pas de politique, la matière n'est pas agréable dans la position où nous sommes ». Belle lettre. [340].
