(with sm. red ill. below title) + 34 Iinc. prelims), 22 central plates on 10 pp. ex-pagination, a further, black image on red, to p.33, 2 text images, one full page; colophoan on final page gives this as No. 665 of a 1,000, beneath this is a green incscription: 'Remy Green visited the Book Hunters' Society 19 June 1974', he being the author's son (see brief 'History of the Firm' verso t.p., which states that the origins of the firm date to the late 17th century); faint tanning to fr. end-paper otherwise internally clean, tight and unmarked. A handsome reprint of the original Barcham Green promotional pamphlet of 1953 with accompanying photographic illustrations from the original negatives so far better quality than the half-tone reproductions of the original pamphlet.

Copy number '85' of an edition limited to 130 copies, of which 100 were for sale. A reprint of a book first published in 1953 'to place on record an illustrated detailed description of a craft in which Great Britain has excelled for centuries.' The text was machine-set in 12 point Monotype Caslon, printed on Barcham Green Finale paper, wrapped in Chatham Vellum and held in a case cover in Antique Rose paper. The case cover, which has a paper label on the spine, also contains 16 indexed photographs of the paper-making process housed in one of two pockets, the other housing the book. 280 x 170 mm (case), 260 x 160 mm (book), pp. 20.
