Condition: Good. - A slip of paper, 2-3/4 inches high by 3-1/2 inches wide, signed "Wm Green". The bottom right corner of the paper is creased & slightly chipped and there are a few small, very light stains to the top edge. Good. William Green [1873-1952] was President of the American Federation of Labor from 1924 to 1952. He began his career as a coal miner and was president of the Ohio district of the United Mineworkers of America from 1906 to 1910.

Each broadside signed by the poet,introductory sheet signed by publishers Sam and Sally Green The introductory sheet tells the story of the Greens acquiring the press and eventually moving to an island in the San Juans, learning to live without electricity or running water. Sally learned to work with the paper and ink while navigating atmospheric conditions in the tent, and Sam persevered in binding by kerosene lamp. A lovely record of two intrepid printers; scarce in retail.
